Welcome to Attune Home, a working ecommerce prototype for a fictional connected-home company. I conceived and built it using ChatGPT to demonstrate how I translate customer insight and product strategy into a functioning digital experience.
Attune Home shows how product judgment, data, recommendation logic, and AI/ML thinking can work together to create a more relevant customer journey and stronger commercial results.

Start with the customer
Customers do not buy specifications alone. They buy products to solve a problem or meet a need, so the journey begins with what the customer wants their home to do.

Use AI/ML to personalize
The current prototype uses transparent decision logic to connect household context, priorities, and investment level to relevant products. In a real-world implementation, these signals could support an AI recommendation model that learns which solutions work best for customers with similar needs.

Make AI explainable
A recommendation is more valuable when the customer understands it. Each product is tied back to the inputs that influenced it, helping customers trust, challenge, and customize the result.

Earn the next opportunity
Relevant recommendations create value before asking for another purchase. Start Now, Add Next, and Consider Later support the customer over time while creating permission for future engagement.

Measure what matters
Assessment completion, recommendation engagement, customization, add-to-cart, order rate, product attachment, and expansion purchases reveal both customer value and commercial performance.

Create the learning loop
Selections, recommendation changes, purchases, outcomes, and direct feedback become model signals. They can improve features, retrain models, test new treatments, and make future recommendations more relevant.
Looking ahead
Enhanced digital experiences
As generative AI becomes more integrated into application and website design, digital experiences such as Attune Home could evolve beyond presenting personalized recommendations to guiding customers through a conversational journey. Customers could choose to speak or type naturally, receive explanations tailored to their priorities, explore tradeoffs, and modify their solution through conversation.
The opportunity is not simply to add a chatbot. It is to connect voice, conversation, visual configuration, recommendation logic, and customer context so they become coordinated ways of moving through one integrated experience.
